Beginners Training Weekend 2010 at Balmoral

For relative beginners & those looking to re-energise their running

Friday 26 to Sunday 28 February 2010

Your Full Board Running Weekend package includes:

  • 2 nights (26th and 27th February) plus an additional lunch
  • 3 Guided Runs: Friday afternoon; Saturday morning; Sunday morning
  • Presentation and discussions with top endurance coach, Mel Edwards
  • Presentation and discussions with Alan Sealy, Chartered Physiotherapist who specialises in sports injuries (especially for runners) 
  • Sessions on "Stretching for Runners" and "Core Stability for Runners"
  • Session on Sports Nutrition
  • Practical Yoga session

Your Accommodation

  • Balmoral Estate Apartment (1 only available)

The apartment sleeps two people (double or twin). It has its own living room, kitchen (not that you'll need it!) and bathroom.  An ideal choice if you can book it in time!

  • Balmoral Estate (Single rooms only)

A unique opportunity to stay in the modern staff building adjacent to the castle.  Each single room has a wash basin, TV/DVD and tea/coffee making equipment.  Facilities are shared.

  • Alexandra Hotel 

A small family run hotel,set in the heart of the picturesque village of Ballater, close to the River Dee. A warm welcome and excellent en-suite accommodation. Single, Double and Twin rooms available.  

Optional Extras

In addition to the full accommodation and training package, you also have the option to book a sports massage session. We'll also be happy to work with you to set up a Personal Training Plan.
