We are delighted to announce that we are organising an additional training weekend in September (12th - 14th) on Royal Deeside and our special guests will be none other than Sonia O'Sullivan and her partner Nic Bideau.

Sonia, 5000 metres World Champion and Olympic silver medallist, is one of the true greats of athletics. She was recently in Edinburgh for the World Cross Country Champs as Team Manager of the bronze medal winning Australian team.

Nic is one of the top endurance coaches in the world. His current group of athletes includes Beijing Olympic hopefuls Craig Mottram and Benita Johnson.

Sonia and Nic will be giving talks on their experiences and passing on some of their knowledge. RTH guests may even get a chance to run with them (although some may want to join one of the slower groups!) It promises to be a tremendous event!

We have some great accommodation options lined up. These include:

• Alltnaguibhsaich House - A unique house, set on its own on the Balmoral Castle Estate with wonderful views over Loch Muick to the south. Single, double and twin rooms available.

• Tangley House - an excellent 4 star guest house, centrally but quietly situated in the picturesque village of Ballater.
• Hilton Craigendarroch - a resort style hotel on the edge of  the village of Ballater.  This will be our base for meetings, etc.
  

Prices from £295pp for a full board weekend (includes an additional lunch). The weekend will start with lunch at around 12.30pm on the Friday and finish up at 3pm on the Sunday. Aberdeen airport and rail station pick up/drop off can be arranged for a relatively small additional cost.
