Body and Sole Weekend February 2007 |

Yes, our Body and Sole Weekend was much enjoyed by all who came along to give their body a workout as well as ensuring that their soul (or in this case 'sole') was well exercised. Guests had a chance to do 3 guided runs on the beautiful off road trails of the Balmoral Estate, yoga, sports massage (as well as a demonstration to show how beneficial it can be), pilates and gait analysis from Asics. Everyone took the opportunity to have a 'one-to-one' with Mel Edwards, top endurance coach and some also enjoyed a swim and sauna at the nearby Hilton Craigendarroch.
Dr Chris Fenn gave a talk on nutrition and hydration, having already worked with the chef at Balmoral to ensure that all our meals were not only made with superb, fresh local ingredients but were healthy as well!
'I just wanted to email to say thanks again for such a fantastic weekend - the speakers were excellent and the sports massage and gait analysis were really useful addtions to the course. The food was excellent - big thank you to those involved! - and I really appreciated it being healthy too, as I think that's a much-neglected point on other activity holidays I've been on. Best of all though, I had an absolutley brilliant time running along exciting trails through such beautiful scenery, and I can't thank you enough for what you've done for my confidence and motivation. Please pass on my thanks to Mel for his dedication - it was a real privilege talking to him and I've learned a great deal from it.
