Mental Fitness

Mental fitness is a state of mind which helps a person perform to the best of his or her ability.

It concerns:

  Method of Achievement
Motivation Goal setting - a process of setting targets as a means of developing motivation and directing appropriate attentional focus.
Self-confidence Elimination of anxiety
Positive imagery Visualisation - mental rehearsal of tasks.
Control of anxiety Relaxation, Centering - a breathing technique to reduce tension.
Concentration Focusing
Persistence Positive attitude,experience
Preparation Performance segmenting - a means of enhancing psychological control by breaking down preparation into distinct phases.
Commitment Putting in the efford

Mental fitness is basically common sense, but it is not often common practice. Give yourself a rating from 1-10 on the above aspects.
