Our Training Weekends – What to Expect

We operate a number of special training weekends throughout the year each with a variety of organised events, including guided runs, discussions/presentations all aiming to help you get the most out of your running. We have guest speakers and coaches from a wide range of disciplines including nutrition, massage, flexibility and motivation. We take care of everything while you are here.
A typical weekend might be:

Friday

12.30pm

Arrival/get together and lunch
1.30pm

Introduction. Overview of the weekend. This will also include a discussion of the different running groups for the weekend - based on info we receive from you before the weekend about your current running experience/level. We always ensure everyone is in a small group at the right level for them and these groups may well change as the weekend goes on to suit. You should NEVER be worried that your running level will not ‘fit’ with the rest of the groups!

This will be the ‘long’ run for the weekend and can vary, depending on the weekend and the level of runners from a flatish 5 mile/10k length on our Body & Sole weekends (for relative beginners or people who are coming back to running) to a mountain 18-20 miler on the Mad March Marathon weekends. There will be a variety of distances and speeds of run available on all our weekends, so even on the Mad March Marathon weekends, there are shorter or slower groups.
